National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
On September 30th National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, join us and lets RunConciliAction together in healing and to honour and remember our little ancestors who never made it home. We also hold space for those who survived and strive towards truth and healing everyday. This is why we will raise funds for local grassroots movements, to support Indigenous Athletes, and help provide safe spaces for Indigenous Runners.
JOIN US IN RUNCONCILIACTION!
Indigenous Runner is hosting events in Edmonton, Peace River and Saskatoon. From first place to final finisher every runner will receive a hand carved wooden feather for their finishers medal and race shirt.

Cancellation Policy:
In the event of a cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, registered racers will receive a 50% refund as well as 2024 finisher/swag item(s) or the option to rollover their registration to 2025. No refunds will be permitted otherwise.

Get the Elder & Kids 2.15km will start the race first at 2:00 p.m.

Cost to register is just $20 and comes with a custom orange t-shirt, custom wood medal and swag!
The 5km run & walk will start at 2:45pm.
Cost to register is just $35 and comes with custom orange shirt, custom wood medal and swag!
The 10km run & walk will start at 2:35pm.
Cost to register is just $50 and comes with custom orange shirt, custom wood medal and swag!
ABOUT THE RACE DIRECTORS
Anita R. Cardinal
Anita Cardinal is Nêhiyaw (Cree) and a member of Woodland Cree First Nation situated on Treaty 8 Territory, but currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta with her family. Anita is an ultra-trail runner, a wife, mother to 3 sons and Niko's Kokum. She is also a Lawyer that aims to work towards justice for Indigenous peoples. Anita is the Race Director and Organizer for Orange Shirt Day Run/Walk Every Child Matters in Edmonton and the co-organizer for the Saskatoon event, and the founder of Indigenous Runner/Red Trail Running. You can find Indigenous Runner on Instagram and Facebook where group runs and walks are organized weekly.

Alethea Greyeyes is Nehiyawew Iskwew (Plains Cree Speaking Woman) from the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation located in Saskatchewan; currently residing in Saskatoon with her loving family. Her full-time position with the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies keeps her busy with Indigenous secondary and post-secondary students in their pursuit of education.
She is the Race Director for the Orange Shirt Day Run/Walk in Saskatoon and a committed community leader. While her family are her pride and joy she is also very proud of her fitness portfolio which includes Fitness Instructor and certified Vinyasa Yoga Instructor. She is a long distance runner, who thoroughly enjoys the challenge of endurance sports, specifically Ultramarathons. "I look forward to directing the first annual "Orange Shirt Day" fun run/walk for our Treaty six relatives to attend and complete with family and friends alike."
THE COURSES
The Edmonton course will run through the North Saskatchewan River Valley's beautiful groomed trails, a fast and easy course for every ability to enjoy. A combination of wide track trail and some pavement.
The Saskatoon course will start at the Rotary Park and you will run along the Meewasin trail. A combination of wide track trail and some pavement.
Peace River course will start at the Riverfront Park.
